I was just wondering, is it possible for the Internet to fill up? Will it one day reach a 'full-capacity' if outdated or redundant information isnt removed?
Apparently, yes, it is possible, but I don't think it's because of outdated or redundant information not being removed. It seems to be mostly because of the amount of video being uploaded every minute of every day. Various groups are sounding the alarm already; they seem to agree that we will reach the full capacity of our current Internet infrastructure within the next two to three years! Here are a few links:
Of course, this problem can be solved by building a better infrastructure; we are only reaching the full capacity of our current Internet, not of what the Internet could be.
